These terms are the agreement between you and Alpha Intel Labs for the use of Tara. Two clauses matter more than the rest: everything Tara writes is generated by AI and is for entertainment (section 4), and you must not rely on it for medical, legal or financial decisions (section 5).

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, generating a chart, or otherwise using Tara ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

2. What Tara is

Tara computes astrological charts from the birth details you supply — Western (tropical), Vedic (sidereal) and Chinese (Bazi) — and uses a large language model to write readings from them. The astronomical calculation is performed on our own servers. The words on top of it are generated by AI.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old. If your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services, you must meet that age.
• Charts are only as good as the birth details behind them. Inaccurate details produce inaccurate charts, and that is not a fault in the App.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• A guest account is held only by an identifier and secret stored on your device. If you lose the device or clear the app's storage, that account cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

4. Entertainment, not advice

All readings, horoscopes, compatibility reports, chart analyses and chat replies are for entertainment and general interest only. They are produced by an AI system, and they can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent with a reading it gave you yesterday. Astrology is not a science and nothing in the App is presented as a prediction of fact.

5. No reliance

Nothing in the App is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind, and no relationship of professional care is created by using it. In particular, do not use the App to decide whether to:

• take, stop, or change a medicine or treatment;
• consult, or delay consulting, a doctor or therapist;
• make, hold, or dispose of an investment, or take on debt;
• sign, terminate, or rely on a contract; or
• begin, continue, or end a relationship, a job, or a tenancy.

Take those decisions with a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself, contact your local emergency service or a crisis line — Tara is not able to help and must not be used for it.

6. Other people's birth data

A compatibility report requires another person's name, birth date, birth time and birth place. By entering them you confirm you are entitled to do so, and you take responsibility for that. Do not enter details about someone who has asked you not to, and do not present a generated report to them or to anyone else as a factual assessment of that person.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
• attempt to access another user's account, data, or reports;
• scrape, crawl, or use automated tools against the App, or circumvent rate limits, usage limits, or paid feature gating;
• use the App or its outputs to build, train, or evaluate a competing model or service;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the App, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded;
• resell, redistribute, or commercially publish readings generated by the App;
• submit content that infringes someone else's rights, or that you have no right to submit; or
• present AI-generated readings to other people as professional advice, or as human-authored.

8. Plans, trials and billing

Tara has a free tier and a paid tier. The free tier includes the daily reading and a limited number of chat messages each day. The paid tier adds compatibility reports, weekly deep dives, the full chart analysis, and a higher message allowance.

• Trial. A one-time seven-day trial of the paid features is available per account. It converts to nothing — when it ends, the account returns to the free tier unless you subscribe.
• Billing. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google under their terms, renew automatically until cancelled, and are cancelled through your store account rather than through us.
• Refunds. Refunds for store purchases are handled by the store under its own policy. We cannot issue them on the store's behalf.
• Promotional codes. Codes we issue have no cash value, may be limited in number or time, and may be withdrawn if misused.
• Price changes. We may change prices. A change never applies to a subscription period you have already paid for, and your store will ask you to accept it before it takes effect.

9. Usage limits

Daily message allowances, report limits and rate limits protect the service from abuse and from runaway cost. The current limits are shown in the App, and we may adjust them. We will not reduce a paid tier's limits so far that the features you paid for stop being usable during a period you have already paid for.

10. Intellectual property

The App, its calculation engine, its design, its name and its branding belong to Alpha Intel Labs. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.

The birth details and messages you enter remain yours. You grant us a licence to store and process them for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Readings generated for you are yours to keep, print, and share privately. They may not be republished commercially or sold. AI-generated text may not be protected by copyright in your jurisdiction, and similar readings may be generated for other users.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the App available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may be added, altered or removed, and the App may be suspended for maintenance, or discontinued. If we discontinue the App entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a period in which to export your data.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that readings are accurate, that calculations are free of error, or that the App will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, in which case the exclusions above apply to the extent permitted by law, and nothing here limits your non-excludable statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the App — including any decision you took in reliance on a reading, any service interruption or data loss, and any error in a calculation or a generated text.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the App, or your entry of another person's data without the right to do so.

15. Termination and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the App. Deletion permanently removes your profile, conversations, reports and horoscopes, and is irreversible. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, for unlawful use, or where required by law. Sections 10 and 12 to 16 survive termination.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before filing anything, write to us at alphaintellabs@gmail.com and describe the problem. We will respond within 30 days, and most things end there.

If that does not resolve it, you and we agree that the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction, and each of us consents to venue there.

If you are a consumer, none of the above removes the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country or state where you live, or your right to bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right. Either of us may always bring an individual claim in small claims court.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will notify you in the App before it takes effect, and continuing to use the App afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
