Your whole chart,
not your sun sign.

Give Tara the date, the time and the place. It computes your tropical, sidereal and Bazi charts from that one moment, then reads all three together — every morning, and whenever you ask it something.

The daily reading is free. A seven-day trial opens the rest.

Should I sign the lease this week?
Wait until Thursday if you can. Mercury is retrograde at 14° Sagittarius and sits within a degree of your natal Mercury until Wednesday night — contracts signed under that tend to need a second reading.
Thursday afternoon your Vedic Jupiter mahadasha gets a transiting trine from Venus, and your Day Master is Yang Water, which is well fed by that. That is the window.
What about the money side?

One birth moment, three charts

Three traditions that disagree, held side by side.

Western, Vedic and Chinese astrology measure different things from the same instant, and they do not always say the same thing about it. Tara keeps all three and names the disagreement instead of averaging it away.

Western

Tropical

Measured from the equinox. The chart most people have seen.

  • Sun, Moon and Ascendant to the degree
  • Mercury through Pluto, each with sign and degree
  • All 45 aspect pairs, each with its exact orb
  • Element and modality weight across every placement

Vedic

Sidereal · Jyotisha

Measured from the fixed stars, which puts most planets a sign back.

  • Lagna and Rashi from your own ayanamsa
  • Nakshatra with pada and ruling planet
  • Vimshottari mahadasha, and the years left in it
  • Every body converted, not just the Moon

Chinese

Bazi · Four Pillars

Measured in stems and branches from the solar calendar.

  • Year, month, day and hour pillars
  • Your Day Master — the stem the reading turns on
  • Five-element weight across all four pillars
  • Month set by solar term, year by Li Chun

The engine

What comes out of your birth moment.

Every line below is computed on our servers from your date, time and coordinates. Nothing here is a lookup table keyed to your sun sign, and the reading you get is written from these numbers.

Ten bodiesSun → Pluto
Geocentric ecliptic longitude for the exact minute you were born, resolved to the arcsecond and carried at four decimal places of a degree through everything downstream.
The AscendantRising sign
Derived from local sidereal time and the obliquity of the ecliptic at your coordinates. It advances one degree every four minutes, which is why Tara asks for the minute and not the morning.
45 aspect pairsNatal geometry
Every pair of bodies tested for conjunction, opposition, trine, square and sextile — 6° orb, 4° on the sextile — and each hit is kept with its measured orb rather than a label.
Element weightAgainst the mean
Fire, Earth, Air and Water counted across all ten placements, then compared against the mean. A chart with no real dominance comes back balanced instead of being handed a winner it did not earn.
Lahiri ayanamsaChitrapaksha
Precession and the principal nutation term, evaluated for your birth date rather than taken as a constant. Every tropical position is then carried into the sidereal chart with it.
27 nakshatrasWith pada and lord
The Moon's exact place inside a 13°20′ lunar mansion, down to which quarter of it — one of four padas — and the planet that rules the mansion.
Vimshottari dasha120-year cycle
The cycle is started from how far the Moon had already travelled into its nakshatra at birth, then run forward to today: your current mahadasha and the years remaining in it.
Four PillarsBazi
The month boundary is the true solar term, found by searching the Sun's longitude to a billionth of a radian, and the year turns at Li Chun — so a February birthday lands in the right animal instead of the calendar's.
Historical timezoneAt your birthplace
Your coordinates resolve to the zone that place kept on that date, with the offset in force at the time applied before any of the above runs. Wartime clocks and repealed daylight rules come out right.
Live transitsEvery reading
The current sky is recomputed for each reading, and its aspects to your natal chart are measured and ranked by exactness before anything is written — so the tightest contact leads, not the best-known planet.

Where the depth shows up

A sun-sign column has one input. Your chart has forty.

A horoscope written per sign is written for a twelfth of everyone alive that day. The difference is not the writing — it is how much of you the writer was given.

Readings

Five ways the same chart gets used.

The profile is built once, at sign-up. Everything after that is written against it and against the sky at the moment you asked.

The daily reading

Every morning · free

Seven sections — the day's headline, love, work, body, the soul note, the timing window, and numbers and colours drawn from that day's sky. Built from the transits at local noon where you are, so it turns over with the Moon rather than with the calendar.

Chat

Ask anything

Your full profile and the live transits sit in context for every message, along with the twelve tightest transit-to-natal contacts and their orbs. Ask about a job offer and the answer cites the placements it came from.

Compatibility

Nine relationship types

Partner, love interest, friend, colleague, mother, father, brother, sister, or family. The same charts are read for a work partnership differently than for a marriage, because the question is different.

The weekly deep dive

Six areas

Love, career, health, spiritual growth, money, or family — around 1,200 words on one of them, walking the week day by day and naming which days carry the transit that matters.

Chart analysis

Written once, kept

Eight sections and roughly 2,500 words on the natal chart alone: strengths, growth edges, constitution and diet, vocation, love, spiritual path, cycles, and your colours, numbers, days, directions and stones — each with the placement it was drawn from.

Eleven languages

Arabic to Vietnamese

English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese. Set it once and every reading after that arrives in it.

Compatibility

Two charts, three traditions, five passes.

Give Tara their birth details and it builds their full profile from scratch — the same ten bodies, the same ayanamsa, the same pillars — before it compares anything.

Both chartsPass one
Their tropical, sidereal and Bazi charts, computed from their own birth time and place.
SynastryPass two
Every one of the 100 cross-chart pairings tested, sorted into harmonious, challenging and conjunct, plus composite midpoints for Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars.
AshtakootPass three
The eight kutas scored on their weighted scale — Varna 1, Vashya 2, Tara 3, Yoni 4, Graha Maitri 5, Gana 6, Bhakoot 7, Nadi 8 — to a total out of 36, with Nadi dosha flagged when it lands.
BaziPass four
Year animals read for San He, Liu He, clash and harm; Day Masters read through the productive and controlling cycles; five elements counted across all eight pillars, with the missing ones named.
Today's skyPass five
Live transits laid over both charts, with the shared activations — one transiting planet touching both of you — pulled out separately.

Ashtakoot · Good
Maya & Devan
First impression

Her Venus sits within 1.2° of his Mars — the tightest contact between these two charts, and the one doing most of the pulling.

The growth edge

Gana scores 0 of 6. Deva and Rakshasa temperaments read conflict at different speeds, and the Bazi agrees: her Rooster and his Rabbit are a six clash.

How it writes

It tells you when the systems disagree.

Where the three traditions point the same way, Tara says so and leans in. Where they contradict each other, it names the contradiction rather than splitting the difference. A reading with no difficulty in it is not an honest reading, and health, legal and money questions stay at the level of tendency and timing.

Before you start

Every reading in Tara is written by AI and is for entertainment. The astronomy underneath it is computed, but the interpretation on top is generated, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or contradict itself between readings.

Nothing in the app is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Do not use it to decide whether to take a medicine, sign a contract, move money, or leave a relationship — talk to someone qualified in that field. Tara will not diagnose, and it does not predict illness, death, pregnancy or legal outcomes.

Readings need an accurate birth time to be worth anything. A guessed hour moves your Ascendant by fifteen degrees and can change your Vedic Lagna, your Moon's pada and your Bazi hour pillar with it. Full terms are in the Terms of Service.
